Both Dvalin and Barbatos got bits of Durin’s corruption after battling him in them. This time Knights was forced to kill Dvalin cause Venti was still asleep. He wakes to strengthened corruption with little to no idea what to do. Angst or Hurt/Comfort ensues.
Oh and there's Zhongli and Venti because I want more of their interaction. Can be taken both platonically or romantically, depends. This is also my first Genshin fic so constructive critisism (why do autocorrect not work here idk spelling ahhhh) hugely appreciated.

Summary
When Morax unleashes his plan to test the Liyue Qixing and his adepti, he does not take into account the stirring of the Abyss Order in the north and the corruption of Dvalin - for why would he fear an organization that works in such shadows? He is secure in his power, after all, unlike his flighty ex, the absentee archon of Mondstadt who rises only when his people are in danger.
But, somehow, the Abyss Order discovers his plan. Somehow, they capitalize on it. And he, the God of Stone who cannot sicken, is struck down - taken by an order bent on destroying all of humanity as Liyue crumbles around him. For even Archons aren't immune to Durin's blood, and Morax is no exception. But then the question becomes - if even Archons may fall to the agony of this corrupting burn - how is their traveling friend Aether immune?
The answer comes from beyond the stars - an ancient malice that knows no kindness or mercy. A malice whose legacy the Abyss Order now bears, seeking to topple all the Archons and their people into the void of utter destruction. And they have begun in Liyue.
Fortunately, it takes a long time to erode stone.

Mondstadt was known as the City of Freedom - especially in regards to Alphas, Betas, and Omegas.
The hardship their Archon had to suffer to ensure that their freedom would not be taken away remains veiled in mystery, only known to a happily singing Omega bard, whose eyes still hold the millennia's worth of fear from ages long past.Yet, even with the foundation of equality laid upon Mondstadt, not every Omega can safely live their life.
With Kaeya's heat hitting him before he can make it to the church, he becomes the target of many hungry Fatui. Having no other safe place to go, he begs the only other person he's ever trusted during his heat to protect him: an extremely jealous, furious Diluc.But even Diluc can only hold back his Alpha instinct for so long...
