Year 2382.
When Alina first arrives at Starfleet academy, she has great expectations immediately placed upon her. Unfortunately, she has no intention of living up to them. Equipped with an ego large enough to generate its own gravitational field, she cares very little about other people's opinion of her; with a few notable exceptions.
Nirak, a Vulcan/Romulan who has made an art out of getting in trouble and pissing people off, and Sokel, the sensible, geeky Klingon/Vulcan girl, will soon become her best friends. Together, the trio will dodge boredom at every turn during their years at the academy.
