Summary
Amit’s heart was broken, and he wasn’t asking for much, really: he just wished to spend New Year’s Eve in peace, trying to ignore the aching pain in his chest. He wished to find solace awaiting the dawn of 1892 in his favourite spot, namely at the top of the Astronomy Tower. He wished to spend a quiet evening gazing at the stars and talking with the one person who had proven to be his truest friend, the notorious Troll Slayer and heroine of the Highlands. Amit had expected Gaunt would come along with her—hardly surprising given how smitten and clingy the Slytherin lovebirds were.
What Amit hadn’t expected, however, was the bunch of loud, overbearing, swaggering Gryffindors who would desecrate the sanctity of the Astronomy Tower with their racket, their Butterbeers and their endless supply of fireworks and firecrackers.
And he certainly hadn’t expected one of those Gryffindors to offer him a dreadful homemade dessert and a kiss.

Ominis couldn't see her, but he would have bet good galleons that she was blushing, thinking to himself that she was just lovely.

His feelings for her were so strong that they bordered on worship and, at times, he was greatly frightened by the intensity of his love for her—that consuming awareness that he belonged to her body and soul, the knowledge that he simultaneously had everything life could offer and potentially everything to lose.
Sebastian took a few steps towards them, only to stop a moment later. His heart skipped a little—that dull, constant ache he had grown accustomed to and which he felt every time he laid his gaze on the happy couple.
He had loved her. He still loved her. He loved her at all times. Deeper every day, if possible.
Giving her up had been the hardest thing he had ever done in his life. Yet he had found the strength to step aside and let his best friend live his love dream with her, learning in that moment the true meaning of the word Love, and understanding the courage it takes to keep on giving it even when it cannot be reciprocated as one wishes.

Obi-Wan has stopped kicking his feet back and forth in the air above their couch. His legs are, in fact, no longer in the air altogether; He clutches them tightly to his chest instead, still laid backwards on their sofa with his head dangling off the front – Padawan braid hanging free.
“What if there’s never a good time?” Obi-Wan asks the ceiling.
“As good a time as any, then.”

Qui-Gon and his padawan are both still learning to cope with the things stirred up on Melida/Daan. It requires big steps sometimes, but they don't have to be taken alone.

Shmi stands and nearly tumbles over herself.
“That’s it?” She asks, straightening her dress and bag.
The Jedi sniffs.
“That’s it,” they says. “You can—“
“I thought it would be more difficult to persuade you,” Shmi says.
“Ma’am,” the Jedi sighs, “We are an equal opportunity employer. Through the door, please.”(Shmi Skywalker is assaulted by too-real visions of her grandson in pain in the future. She gets a job at the Jedi Temple in order to prevent that from happening and soon after finds herself on a warship.)
