But what Ronan couldn’t handle, what he couldn't fix, was when he made Adam cry. It didn’t happen often, but once was enough. For some people that might make them walk on eggshells but Ronan wanted to fucking stomp those eggshells to smithereens. Because the times he made Adam cry were the tender, tender moments when Ronan was saying everything in his heart with his actions.
Another soft fic where Ronan and Adam help each other deal with past trauma.

Summary
Parrish stops in his tracks and blinks at him, and for the first time tonight, he doesn’t look like he wants to murder Ronan anymore. Ronan would even say he looks a little impressed, though it’s less in a ‘I-am-totally-charmed-by-your-desperate-attempt-to-get-my-number’ way and more in a ‘I-can’t-believe-you-have-the-nerve-to-say-this’ way. “Did you just make a pass at me after I found you passed out drunk in my bed in my shirt that you stole from my closet?”
Ronan shrugs nonchalantly, trying to hide his obvious agitation. “I guess.”

Summary
But dry heaving sucks, and Adam feels tears spring in eyes out of synch with the jumping of the muscles in his lower back. It doesn’t stop, not even when Ronan appears, one hand smoothing Adam’s hair back from his forehead, the other rubbing circles on his back.
Fuck. Adam had been trying to not wake Ronan up. He’s been worrying so much.
“Ugh,” Adam gets out, when it’s over. He goes to stand, and Ronan’s hands ease the process, make sure Adam is steady on his own feet. He’s not. Ronan’s hand remains tight around Adam’s waist, helping Adam stay upright as he swishes some water around his mouth and spits. Adam doesn’t protest Ronan all but carrying Adam back to bed.
“This appointment is gonna be a shitshow,” Adam mumbles. “I haven’t, like, slept all week.”
“It’s gonna be okay,” Ronan says. “Maybe it’s not as bad as we think.”

Adam is just just babbling, telling Ronan and the nurse that he’s fine and please let him go he really can’t afford this so Ronan just stops listening. He can’t listen to Parrish when he’s like this.
But he’s not willing to let Adam die in an Aglionby bathroom, either.
