“They just don’t want us to see where they’re getting the supplies from. “ Keith added absentmindedly, rummaging through his pockets for any left over ration bars, while he contemplated the news announcers on the screen. “Half the fucking time, the goddamn politicians are yapping on about this sorry ass planet dying of ‘over population’ and still those Galrans have enough fucking food. And we have crumbs, tell me how that makes sense, huh? Shiro?”
----
Just outside their crumbling townhouse, unease and restlessness was settling into the bones of the population. Hushed whispers and discreet glances carried the news of escape, of the promised land. However, even those who believed could not even hope to realise this wish for revolution.
(Or a cyberpunk au where Keith and the rest of the gang talk of revolution but when they meet Lance, suddenly it becomes all too real.)

Summary
We have to realise that the people around us can have a big impact on the way we act. We are, for better or worse, shaped by our interactions with others. Personally, it can really alter the way someone acts; they can treat you differently in the blink of an eye. You think that you know them but then they, they…” He paused, his hand stopped and he looked around at the faces of his bored classmates, his friend and his teacher all staring at him and waiting for him to continue.
"Change"
(Or where Todoroki is a troubled, edgy soul who listens to depeche mode and Bakugou wants to help our little resident emo. This is gratuitous eek)

Summary
At twenty-four years old, his first opening night as principal dancer of the Korean National ballet was over but in the young ballerino’s eyes, life had only just begun.
The adrenaline was still coursing through Minhyuk’s veins and he could no longer contain his grin. He had really done it. Minhyuk quickly turned to the left, sparing his friend Myungjun, dressed in a ridiculous costume for Cinderella’s step-sister, a wide smile as he too basked in the euphoric shouts of the audience.
(or where Rocky is a ballet dancer and he meets the hip hop dancer Moonbin and loveable fluffy chaos ensues)

What did being in love feel like?
Frankly, Jae didn’t really, properly, sincerely know until about recently and even then he couldn’t even explain it to you know if you asked. His experience was a little odd, if anything.
The first time Jae met Brian was at two o’clock in the morning, in an empty, but not empty enough to safe them from embarrassment, coffee shop, where Jae would have a dramatic hissy fit over an iced Americano and how it was too cold for this July weather, goddamn and then proceeded to bawl his eyes out about project because apparently he didn’t give two shits about Bach and his goddamn terraced dynamics.
(Or another music college au because i am unoriginal and i need something to feel nostalgic about thanks. Beware of my music nerdiness.)

"Try to comprehend that what you never comprehend"
Garbage - Bleed Like Me
---

Summary
It’s been two months since the storm, and Childe hasn’t seen Zhongli not even once, not since that fateful meeting with the Signora where the truth is finally unveiled.
And what a fun little kick to the gut that is, the realization that not only had he been played by all sides, but he's also being tossed aside like trash now that his use had run its course.
It’s not that Childe doesn’t get it. He’s a Harbinger. He knows first-hand what it means to do his duty, to put the mission first and his personal feelings far, far away, preferably locked up in a box, where it wouldn’t interfere with his job. He knows what it’s like working with vipers, to scheme and plot and lie in wait for the opportune moment to stab his opponent in the back.
But this time, this time Childe can’t help but feel a little (a lot) gutted.
Stupid. He’s gotten himself stupidly attached.
--
A story about Childe trying to move on after the events of 1.1 Update, but some of his actions have consequences, and those consequences have followed him back to Snezhnaya.NOTE: THIS FIC WAS DRAFTED BEFORE 1.1 UPDATE CAME OUT. MIND THE CANON-DIVERGENT TAG FOR THIS REASON.
