Summary
There’s a specific brand of cigarette that plagues Subaru’s existence. Rarely will he ever touch the brand himself – only on particularly dark nights when the pain becomes so unbearable, so overwhelming, that all he can think to do is to drown himself in memories that refuse to fade with time until eventually, his body gives out from exhaustion and a dreamless sleep takes over his consciousness.
One night, Subaru smells it even before he opens the door. Not only does he not keep that particular brand in the apartment, but he hasn’t lit a cigarette for himself in a few hours. It ignites his previously subdued cravings and reminds him that he really could go for a smoke right about now, but he ignores it in favor of answering the door.

Summary
“Come now, Fuuma,” Seishirou answers him coolly as if he believes Fuuma is overreacting to the sudden change. “You’re a smart boy. You know exactly what’s happening.” Even without seeing him, Fuuma knows the smirk on Seishirou’s face has grown as he leans in close, whispering into his ear. “You can see my desires after all, can’t you?”
Until now, Fuuma had not tried to read into the depths of Seishirou’s heart. He knows about Subaru Sumeragi, and with anyone else that might have been all he needed to know. Fuuma barely needs to scratch the surface to find a plethora of information, the majority of which Fuuma finds useless and terribly mundane.
Seishirou, however, isn’t like all the others, and while Fuuma had known that from the very beginning, it isn't until now he's really delved into the enigma that was Seishirou Sakurazuka. Fuuma cannot say if the relationship they’d cultivated up until this point could be considered a friendship, but regardless of what it is, it hasn’t given him nearly enough information about Seishirou to see this coming. Perhaps he had underestimated Seishirou, and now, the dark, ravenous look in Seishirou’s eye all but promises Fuuma this mistake will cost him.

They say nothing good ever happens in the early hours of the morning, and he supposes there really is some truth to that. He may not have been up to anything wicked at the moment, but that doesn’t make him a saint by any means. He’s been up to his share of depravity and evildoings in the hours shrouded in darkness before, and he surely would again. Tonight’s just a rare exception, and nothing more.

Summary
“You’re late,” Aizawa snaps only after the one he’s been waiting for, Dabi, steps out of the shadows and into the moonlight.
To his dismay, Dabi’s lips twist into a mischievous grin that makes him look a little too pleased with himself. It's a smile that both infuriates him unlike anything else, and siphons out the dark desires he tries so hard to keep buried deep inside his heart. He hates that sly, self-assured smile so damn much, but when the pale moonlight shines on the sharp, pearly white fangs that peek out between Dabi's parted lips, Aizawa knows he's lost whatever fight he might have tried to put up before it's even begun.
“You know, it’s not every day I get a meal that’s so eager to be eaten,” The mirth sparkling in Dabi’s blue eyes sends a shiver down Aizawa’s spine as his feet start moving, one in front of the other until he’s standing a mere one foot away.

Hizashi’s always wondered what dorm life might be like, but he's never imagined he’d get the chance to find out—especially not after more than a decade had passed since his high school graduation. What’s more, Hizashi can hardly believe he’d find himself sneaking into the dormitories after hours, but when Aizawa’s a homeroom teacher, tasked with staying on the premises along with his class, what other choice does he have? He and Aizawa’s schedules make the occasional rendezvous all but impossible, and Hizashi misses his husband too much to mind the rules—just this once.

“‘S thing open for business?” The other knocks on the plywood wall between them in a hesitant manner, giving Kuroo the impression that he holds a few reservations about the entire thing, not that Kuroo plans on making the situation any easier for him.
“Stick it in and find out,” Kuroo drawls, getting down on his knees and peeking through the hole, getting a good look at the stranger's clothed cock. Already, he sees the slightest of bulges under those dark jeans, causing him to lick his lips in anticipation.

Summary
'“Never gonna forgive you." The caress of his lips against Lotor's skin undermines his declaration, but Shiro can't say he really means it. He could say a lot of things right now—he could go into vivid detail and outline what a fool Lotor is, stepping in the line of fire and taking a direct hit for him, when it should have and would have been the other way around, if not of course, for Lotor's imprudent misstep.
But he doesn't. Relief coupled with the unyielding desire to shower Lotor with affection outweighs his instinct to gently chide Lotor and make him understand the concept of the human heart attack he'd nearly given Shiro over this encounter.'

Summary
Getting closer to Lotor is a desire Shiro doesn’t quite understand. At times he feels as if he's not in control, like his body bends to the will of some outside power, and he’s just along for the ride. More often than not, Shiro's left questioning himself—wondering whether or not his behavior and how he feels towards Lotor is of his own volition. He knows all too well he’s been on his own when it comes to supporting Lotor, and while thus far each decision has yielded satisfactory results, he can’t help but wonder if he'd made the right choice in those instances.

Summary
“What do you need me to do?” Keith asks with a heavy sigh, all but resigning himself to Lotor's will. He has half a mind to remind Lotor of how lucky he is—Lotor's princely status be damned, Keith would never give his loyalty to just anyone—however, Keith holds his tongue, if only because it seems cruel to claim anyone behind bars is fortunate in any capacity.
“You remember the legend of Voltron, don’t you?” Lotor's tone is lighter than before, as if his question stems from curiosity, rather than a lead-in to what he's about to ask of Keith.
“What about it?” Keith lifts an inquisitive brow, uncertain of where Lotor might be going with this.
A self-satisfied smirk—one Keith can’t help but take solace in—plays upon Lotor’s lips. “It’s real, and I’ve managed to locate one of the lions that comprises Voltron.”
Lotor doesn't need to elaborate further, Keith knows what his next mission is.

Summary
'He’s beautiful', was the only thought Shiro’s mind could process as he watched Lance in person for the very first time. Those two little words repeated themselves on a loop over and over, making sure he’d never forget this moment. He’d always thought Lance to be exceedingly attractive, but seeing him in real life, as opposed to the TV screen or a movie poster nearly blew his mind.
Shiro had every intention of getting out of there before he ended up doing something embarrassing. Nevermind the fact that Lance wouldn’t know who he was, he still wasn’t too keen on potentially making a fool of himself. But just before he could make a beeline for the exit, the sound of his proper last name echoed throughout the air, forcing him to stop dead in his tracks.
“Excuse me, Mr. Shirogane?” The nervousness that plagued his caller’s voice hit Shiro’s ears wrong, yet it was still oddly familiar to him, as if he’d heard that same tone over a hundred times before.
As it turned out, he had, just never like this. Turning around, he came face-to-face with the lead of the production, the one and only Lance McClain himself, standing before him with a curious, perhaps even anxious expression covering his face.

Summary
“Hurry up, Iwa-chan. We're gonna be late.” Oikawa moves about the kitchen without glancing over to Iwaizumi, gathering up his wallet and keys, and pocketing them before finally looking Iwaizumi's way.
What he sees makes his blood run cold.
Iwaizumi's hunched over the table, with his eyes fixated on a single sheet of paper that still has its corners turned up from recently being taken out of a trifold. He knows that stance, he's seen Iwaizumi take that exact posture under these exact circumstances one too many times to not know what's going on. His heart sinks to the pit of his stomach, not because of the situation, but because he knows what's going through Iwaizumi's mind right now. He can feel the agony, the sorrow, the growing fury, and the powerlessness over not being able to do anything about it.
“Iwa--”
“We've been denied,” Iwaizumi lets out a heavy breath, “again.” He doesn't turn to look at Oikawa.

Summary
“You know, even if we do have a ghost, there’s no reason it can’t be a friendly one,” he tries, using a light, optimistic voice.
Surprisingly, that’s enough to get Bokuto to relinquish his grip in the pillow once more and look back up at him. “Yeah, but if pop culture’s taught me anything, it’s that every friendly ghost has three diabolical uncle ghosts that will definitely be out to get us.”
A large grin spreads across his face upon hearing that. “Well if that happens, there will be only one thing that’ll save us then.”
“What’s that?”
And just like that, Kuroo finds himself leaping out of bed and striking a pose, belting out the lyrics in English because the song is just that iconic.
“If there’s something strange in your neighborhood,” he pauses for a single beat, just like the singer does, “Who you gonna call?”
