"Oh, you're too sweet." Cid groans, his voice laden with even more gravel than usual from disuse. You'd been at the Hideaway long enough to learn that Cid and mornings were begrudging acquaintances at best (unless you counted the early hours past midnight). So, despite it nearing noon you weren't surprised to catch him stretched lazily across the couch, still groggy from sleep.
Hence the coffee.

Cid doesn't do mornings so you decide to be nice and bring him coffee, and no it most definitely has nothing to do with getting a peak at his groggy face.

Summary
Keshet was supposed to be listening to the smooth sound of Urianger's voice teaching him the intricacies of grammar and syntax, but it was awfully hard to focus on the lesson when he couldn't drag his attention away from the soft curve of Urianger's lips and the tantalizing hair that framed them. Fortunately for him, Urianger is most forgiving of his distraction, and perfectly willing to turn their lesson on linguistics into a chance to learn each other's bodies instead.
