Summary
Hundreds of years ago, behind a warrior’s back, a well was poisoned.
It wasn’t particularly dramatic. It didn’t even take long. Isn’t that strange? How quickly someone’s world can end, with so little effort? And oh, how large that world seemed, for three people who wished for nothing but the company of the other two. Isn’t it cruel, that fate wouldn’t allow them even that? How different the world would be, if only it had left them alone.
But it didn’t. And if it had, their story would be a good deal less eventful.
