Summary
Stoick the Vast, under the advisement of his best friend, had intended to allow his son into dragon training with the other kids his age, but he allowed his son to speak first and decided to honor his wishes. Hiccup would not fight dragons, and as a result, fate moved slightly to the left.
Hiccup would not use what he learned while befriending Toothless to move up the ranks in dragon training and gain the attention of the entire village and the ire of Astrid. Instead, he would slowly fade into the background until no one even realized when he was missing from the village for days or even weeks at a time.
Most importantly, his connection to dragons wouldn't be exposed to the world for quite some time.
Which worked out for him and Toothless as the two had a growing flock to protect and rule as the draconic Kings of the Wilderwest.

Summary
Astrid had discovered that Hiccup wasn't quite as "Useless" as most had assumed. In fact, he had not only managed to become blood brothers with the infamous night fury, but the two were the leaders of a large flock of dragons hidden on Berk. She still wasn't entirely sure what to think of the dragons or their king, but she was willing to keep Hiccup's secret for now.
In turn, he taught her more about the dragons and took her on adventures across the archipelago. Adventures that had her hunting with Berserkers, caring for baby dragons, and facing down Outcasts.
Come along for Season Two of Kings of the Wilderwest: a story where Hiccup never joined dragon training and, as a result, his friendship with Toothless wasn't exposed quite so soon.

Summary
Hiccup the Useless was not a fighter. He wasn't much of anything at all. He was a fine blacksmith, but even then people preferred to talk to Gobber when dropping off or picking up their gear. Hiccup could barely lift an axe or hammer, let alone wield one, which was why he had never been in dragon training and certainly wasn't expected to fight dragons. He was nowhere to be found during raids and even the increasing number of rogue dragons flying solo had never involved him.
It makes sense, in hindsight, how no one had realized he was barely ever in the village anymore, even if it was strange how he'd gone from being a constant nuisance to a nonpresence overnight. What didn't make sense was why was he found unconscious in the middle of the night wearing strange armor and down a leg.
While most didn't care about his accident and Stoick's only reaction was to restrict Hiccup's movements for his protection, Astrid was determined to figure out what Hiccup was hiding out in the forest.
Come along for Season One of Kings of the Wilderwest: a story where Hiccup never joined dragon training and, as a result, his friendship with Toothless wasn't exposed quite so soon.

The fear began to swell, pressing up against the base of Eret’s skull. The smell of smoke drifted on the chilled breeze, acrid and sharp. Blood began roaring in his ears, like the flames that consumed Drago’s ships - Eret’s breath faltered in his chest, a phantom press and pressure of heat. The man nodded slowly, mostly to himself.
Eret clenched his hands into fists against the tremble in them, forcing his breaths in shallow gulps and long, thin gusts. “There’s a rider here?” He said tightly, almost normally.
“Aye,” Said the man, low and hushed. “That ruin there, against the wall? Used to be a market hall in days gone by. Dragon trappers from all over the world came ‘ere to trade; more coin passed hands in them walls‘n almost anywhere else in the world. Not even kings had the gold we saw in there. After a gronckle broke my leg I was no use for trappin’, so I worked the trade routes. I was there in that hall when that one came.”
Eret has given up dragon trapping. But dragon riders still haunt him, even outside the archipelago.

Summary
He’d split a rock on his head as a child. He’d ripped a nadder’s head from its shoulders as a baby. He’d been made chief when his father died to dragons, and as chief he’d watched his Valka miscarry for years only to be snatched away by dragons from their only surviving child; and, nearing what should have been the end of his time as chief, his heir and son had gone missing, probably because of dragons too. And he’d survived that. The people of Berk were tough, worn and weathered and rooted down into the earth like the mountain against whose base they had settled.
But Stoick wasn’t so certain anymore that they could survive much longer. Hiccup was gone, but the village still skirted disaster; Astrid was his heir, but the Berk she was inheriting was char and charcoal.
After Hiccup went missing Stoick's certainty in victory against dragons disappeared too. A mysterious Dragon Master offers hope, but hope is a man with a Night Fury for a shadow and a power that brought the tyrant who last bore that title to his knees.

Only Quirkless people can be astronauts. As the world approaches its eighth generation of Quirked people, the population size of Quirkless people has reached an all time low.
The Japanese government recently passed a law that states all children that register as Quirkless with no mutations must enter a specially designed training course for astronavigation, engineering, science, mathematics, physics, physiology, and technology.
Space travel has become highly regulated, as Quirks and mutations continued to present themselves around the world, the fear was that people with mental quirks or non-physical enhancements boarding space stations with non-Quirk astronauts would take control over the ship. Not only that, but those with physical mutations or mutation Quirks couldn’t be accommodated for, in terms of space suits, living space, sleeping quarters, and there was the ever present risk of a person losing control of their Quirk. It could mean death. It could mean war.
Therefore, the United Nations Committee, the Space Federation, NASA, JAXA, and several other global organizations signed a treatise on Quirkless astronauts with no mutated bodies…

“Yeah,” Bakugo sighs and leans back on his hands, staring at the bracer. “I know. I’ll go,” his mouth twists a little. “I’ll go tomorrow. This is just- this is my design you know?” he’s not explaining himself very well, and refuses to look at Kirishima.
“It can be hard to give up your first hero design, and you did a great job,” Kirishima said. “You definitely had the best one out of all of us when we first got our costumes."
Bakugo hunched his shoulders. “I didn’t design it,” he grumbled.
