Summary
“Two weeks, Harry. Two weeks.” The words were barely able to be heard above the gentle creaking of the old overhead fan. “Two fucking weeks.”
“I know.” A pause. “I know.”
The shaking hands gripped onto the leather book, the effort making the tendons in the lower arm stick out. The fingernails went white with the pressure. “Two weeks.” A creaky inhalation. “I only have two weeks to live.”
Or: Harry and Louis are old now. They've lived full, happy lives, but the end is near. Louis breaks down. Harry comforts him.

A leaf, frozen in midair, silhouetted against the blue sky. But a leaf does not just remain aloft in the air. It is the nature of a leaf to drift down slowly, borne here and there according to the whims of the wind.
This leaf though was not alone.
It was held in the hand of a tall, gangly legged, curly haired boy. He was standing in the middle of the park, mittened hand holding the leaf above his head, a faint smile turning up his mouth as he studied the leaf in his outstretched hand.
And Louis wanted to know him.

Summary
Harry had never seen Louis without the silver chain disappearing into his shirt. It was a part of Louis, in much the same way that his eyes and his goofy grin were. When one imagined Louis, one imagined his necklace as well. That’s just how it was.
Harry had asked Louis once what the necklace meant, and Louis had just smiled; a small, secretive smile. He had responded though:

Summary
