It took her a moment to respond, because this felt like a trick question. “2019. Why?”
The woman gasped again. Kate turned to her, though she looked away immediately. The woman wiped her eyes, muttered a barely audible ‘excuse me’, and fled the room.
“Lucy!” The man called out, and made a move to follow. But he turned back again, turning worried eyes on Kate. He seemed reluctant to leave Kate alone, and it soothed her a little.
It made her a little braver, too. She tried to smile. “That was the wrong answer, wasn’t it?”

Summary
Set towards the end of season one, pre Kacy reunion.
Lucy and Kate never made up, and Kate ends up getting hurt on assignment with the FBI. When she is in need of someone to help her out until she gets back on her feet, Lucy volunteers much to Kate's surprise. While the newly credited FBI agent sees it as an opportunity to finally start working towards a reconciliation with the woman she loves, Lucy is determined to hold onto the anger she has been harboring for weeks.
