Steddie soulmate AU inspired by a tumblr(?) post I saw years ago.
AU where some have a soulmate, the first sentence you hear them say is written on your skin your whole life. Also I decided to pretend that the Harry Potter series came out during the 70s and 80s. And that Eddie like moved to Hawkins in 83.

Summary
For three years, the Hawkins crew has managed to overcome the threat presented by the Upside Down, though they suffered losses, wounds, and scars. Their fourth encounter is different, and Steve is sure this is the end. He’s right, as it turns out.
Steve dies.
Then, he’s offered an opportunity to save his found family and the entire multiverse. But there’s a catch. Their home universe is a lost cause, and they’ll have to root out the threat that Vecna poses from a different dimension, one that defines sex and gender very differently from what he’s always known.
