“R” spent most of her life pretending to be someone else. “Mary Morstan” was just one more role…at first. A series of one-shots exploring how Mary came to be Mary. Potential spoilers for all episodes in which Amanda Abbington appears.

Summary
An official from the Home Office whom a young Mycroft Holmes would very much like to impress is judging a charity dog show event in Scarborough. In an effort to ingratiate himself with the man, Mycroft enters himself and his little brother's Irish Setter, Redbeard, in one of the show's junior handling classes. His parents, not knowing his true motives, are delighted that Mycroft is showing an interest in extracurricular activities at last. Seven-year old Sherlock most certainly is NOT delighted – at least, not when his brother's extracurricular activity involves HIS dog.
But it's just one show...what could possibly go wrong?

Summary
This is a short, sort of companion piece to my story, "An Innocent Man." I strongly suggest you read that first. It's a canon-compliant one-shot scene that takes place between "The Hounds of Baskerville" and "The Reichenbach Fall." Further explanation inside. Not slash.

Summary
"And what about John Watson?" Sherlock had asked. He had expected a rather dull answer...after all, he had been away. He had not expected to hear that John had spent the past two years in prison. Series 3 AU. Not slash.

Summary
Sherlock may be the common denominator for Mrs. Hudson, Lestrade and Molly, but when a routine surgery briefly puts John out of commission, it becomes apparent that someone else is responsible for drawing them together. Takes place sometime during S2.

Summary
Sherlock was initially jealous of Major James Sholto, but when the major opens his eyes to what exactly Sherlock means to John, Sherlock becomes frightened instead. Character study; spoilers for TSoT. Just an idea for a one-shot I had after seeing the episode...I often feel as though John responds (probably subconsciously) to Sherlock as he would to a commanding officer, on some level.

Summary
How does one heal a fractured friendship? John does not trust easily, and his trust, once lost, is almost impossible to recover. John would love to trust Sherlock again, but there’s something he needs to know before that can happen – and he’s willing to find out even at the cost of his own life.
