He stalks forward, and Gao Tu scramble back until he hits the wall, pinned by Shen Wenlang's fierce aura.
"We can't go back to normal if you're dead, Gao Tu," Wenlang finally hisses.
The words might as well have slapped Gao Tu in the face.
Of everything he'd expected Wenlang to say, this had never crossed his mind. He's right. An increase in his suppressant dosage would probably kill him sooner rather than later, but Gao Tu has long since made peace with his tradition of courting death.
He just… hadn't thought someone like Shen Wenlang would care if there was one less omega in the world.

Or Gao Tu tries to convince Shen Wenlang to let him continue using suppressants and posing as a beta. Shen Wenlang doesn't react well to the idea of the man he loves continuing to poison himself.

Honestly, I saw that BTS video of Chengyu carrying Xiaoshuai, and got sad that that tall man has probably never been on the receiving end of a good princess carry.
So, since I can write whatever I want, I wrote a fic where he gets just that.

Suowei scowled at him, before turning to Chengyu. He was the most drunk of the four, cheeks tinged red and words slurring into each other. “He’s too tall to be carried. He will never know how nice it feels.”
His words took on a dreamy look that had Chi Cheng practically puffing his chest and purring in contentment at seeing his partner so fulfilled.
“What do you mean too tall to be carried?” Xiaoshuai asked as he came closer.

Summary
Jiang Xiaoshuai is beautiful in the candlelight. He always is, but the flames turn his skin a warm gold that makes Guo Chenyu’s mouth water. The low light makes him seem softer, too. It takes away some of the rough, sharp edges that he always throws up between them.
Perhaps tonight that’s good luck for them both. Guo Chengyu wasn’t born yesterday, after all. It’s not like he can’t see Jiang Xiaoshuai’s nervous fidgeting, his restlessness. It’s clear he wants something he’s afraid to ask for.A shamelessly self-indulgent exploration of Guo Chengyu and Jiang Xiaoshuai's first time, following the fade to black in Episode 21. Because they're so very pretty, and because the author is so, so normal about Guo Chengyu, and because we deserve nice things.
