Galen felt the danger approaching as a dagger in his back. Reacting faster than his conscious self allowed, his body sidestepped the laser bolt and whirled around just in time to see the stormtrooper breathe his last, blaster rifle tumbling from his hand.
Galen would have admired his tenacity to get in one last shot were it not for what happened next.
The bolt he avoided landed squarely on the light generator and instantly shorted it out. Flesh bloomed and wind roared in his ears. Every hair stood on end as a powerful suction pulled his body into darkness.
Walking through the stomach of a Sarlacc is generally considered a bad idea, and Galen gets the first taste of why for the next one thousand years.
