Avery didn’t forget Derek. He never did, you know? Even if they both believed that the universe would erase every part of D3rlord3– of Derek— He still remembered. The universe itself is illogical, which is why, at-least in this one, they can still see each other. This universe, to Derek’s surprise, was the first and only one to keep them together just a little longer. Avery wants to take that opportunity to know the other that knows everything little thing about him, While Derek just wants to continue keeping Avery safe.

For they are shown mercy by the Goddess of Love and are reborn as her children— Cupids.
As cupids, They can freely step in and out of the world of the living…
…but in exchange, they cannot age, die or ████ ██ ████.
Traditionally, their weapon of choice was the Bow and Arrow.
By helping targets fall in love with compatible partners, Cupids accumulate good karma in order to earn a Second chance at life.
However, Modern day cupids have chosen other weapons to complete their missions more smoothly.Literally wrote a love-bullet rewrite as Slimeknight. Second Chapter wont be a rewrite, but since both SFAWTDE and Love-Bullet have a human connections theme, wanted to mash the plot n the characters together.

Slowly, the stream of timelines started flowing back to him. They flow back to him gently, like a newly born river joining a lake. He saw timelines where Avery cried out of happiness, other timelines where Avery shook in fear due to his overwhelming feelings— even a few where he became scared of Derek.
He decided to choose a more comforting timeline just for Avery.

Summary
He saw how his shoulders flinch when Avery yelled— then the guilt forming in his face when he must had realized that he had to force him out of the platform.
The need to protect, the way his eyes started to faintly water like Avery's.
The split moment of the gentle touch Derek had near his chest, giving Avery a different thought for just a second— before he felt his heart drop when the sudden pain from Derek's force struck.
Derek must had wanted to bring Avery home the gentle way, and Avery replayed that scene in his head over and over again.
Or:
The two are together again, and Avery needs some help calming down after the whole ordeal.
