A delicate ring adorned her fourth finger, wrought in the shape of a wolf's head with such craftsmanship that it seemed almost alive. Each detail had been rendered exquisitely—the texture of fur captured in minute engravings, the proud set of the ears, the noble curve of the muzzle that was permanently bared open to circle around her finger. Tiny amethysts glittered where the eyes should be, violet as her own, catching the light with every subtle movement of her hand.
It was a claim written in precious metal, a promise forged in silver, a blatant declaration to anyone who cared to look that Yennefer of Vengerberg—the most fiercely independent woman he'd ever known, who'd fought tooth and nail for every scrap of autonomy—chose to wear his symbol so visibly upon her skin.

It’s an age old story, really: Yennefer, the slightly bitter maid of honor, first meets Geralt, the witty best man, during preparations for her best friend’s wedding to his brother. She’d been more than a little annoyed that rather than just giving her a plus one, she was set up to walk down the aisle with a stranger.

Summary
This is a modern au where Yennefer and Geralt live in the same apartment building, but have not met - Yen’s cat helps with an introduction.
A few months pass and Geralt is left as guardian to a three-year-old Ciri, chaos ensues as they try to work out how to raise her together. Idk, it's adorable and very found family heavy.
I would say its more based on the show than the games/books. Though I have read/played all of them, the show was my main inspiration to write.

Summary
In the mountainous wilds of the isle of Skellige wanders a ghost.
Everyone knows the legends of the White Wolf. The Wanderer of the Isles.
An abandoned town would suddenly be freed of the monstrous pest that had settled there, or a trade route would be cleared of the bandits that bothered any traveler or merchant trying to pass through- everyone knew what it meant.
The White Wolf kept them safe, and otherwise stayed out of their way.When yet another village on Ard Skellig falls victim to a curse the White Wolf could not protect them from, the only solution seems to be to bring in an outsider; someone with a different set of skills entirely.
