    But the sight that greeted him is not one of an intruder, for Osamu sees cerulean eyes that hold too much pain. Flaming hair a mess, framing an ethereal face like a halo. Like an angel. Chuuya, drenched from the rain and trembling from the cold, clutching some sort of bag or bundle to his chest. Glaring at the door. Osamu can practically see wings following this divine being, although that may just be a play of the light or reflections from the mist.

 Osamu wants to throw up. Wants to grab the omega by the scruff and ask how he could dare to leave in the manner that he did. Wants to shoot himself for having violent thoughts after months without them. No. He wants to sink to his knees and beg for redemption.

    But he ends up doing none of that. Opening the door, an aloof smile hides the agony otherwise etched upon his flesh. “Well,” he drawls, “Look who came crawling back.”

    Or: A year has passed since Chuuya fled in the middle of the night, leaving Dazai and their abusive relationship in the dust. A year of loneliness and sobriety for Dazai. A year that comes crashing down when his ex omega shows up at his doorstep abreast a terrible storm. Seeking shelter. Will Dazai give it to him?
