Summary
“No, it’s much worse than that,” Wednesday said. She looked down, gaze focusing intently on the corner of Enid’s bed. “It concerns … feelings.”
She bit out the word like a child attempting to chew and swallow a Brussels sprout. Enid had the instinct to laugh, but she didn’t dare.

Or, Wednesday has a crush, and so she goes to Enid for help.

Summary
“What is your last wish?” Wednesday asks impatiently. “Surely there must be some idiotic, impractical thing you want. You humans are so very predictable in that way.”
And Enid, who’s wished on every star and comet and birthday candle she’s ever seen, looks at Wednesday now and comes up impossibly short of an answer. One wish left, anything in the world at her fingertips, and all she really wants is more time to spend with this enchanted, enchanting mystery of a girl.

Summary
“I think you like the way I kiss you,” Enid says, teasing her on each and every syllable.
Wednesday’s eyes land at her shirt, her neck, anywhere that isn’t her face.
“…You’re putting words in my mouth.”
“No, I’ve been putting my tongue in your mouth. There’s a difference.”
Agnes feels her brain beginning to sizzle and fry at the sight. This might be her worst idea ever.
Alternatively: Agnes may have inadvertently caused Enid and Wednesday to get together, and now she's paying the price.

Summary
Enid enters a goth phase. Wednesday gets her out of it.
“I can probably, definitely change it all back,” Enid tells her. “All my old makeup's under my bed, but I wanted to stand out since it’s been a difficult past few weeks.”
“I’m aware,” she notes. “But you already stand out. You’re like maggots in an eye socket - most people can’t get you out of their brain—”
“O-kay. Too much.”
“I mean it,” she says. “That…includes me.”
Something deep and blooming finds its way to Enid’s ribs. She can feel heat, red-hot, spreading to her cheeks and burning the back of her neck. “Maybe you’re right. It’s just…maybe I’m cursed, too. I keep getting into awful situations. Awful relationships.”
That touches a nerve.

Summary
“My friend, Yoko, thought we were on a date,” Enid mentions, before picking up her fork. “But I don’t…do that. Not with girls.” She laughs a little bit, but it’s not the same laugh from earlier where she finds it amusing. Forced, like a laughtrack.
“You don’t like girls,” Wednesday repeats, more of an observation than a question.
“Well, of course I like girls,” Enid says, methodically, “in the way they’re meant to be liked. Like, I’ve dated boys, and I hang out with girls, but I know I’m supposed to like boys, so I date them.”
Wednesday’s lungs seize up. The fuck is that supposed to mean?
Alternatively: In 2011, up-and-coming writer Wednesday Addams has found a muse in aspiring actress Enid Sinclair for her latest queer novel, soon to be adapted for screenplay.
Enid claims not to be queer, which shouldn’t matter, since Wednesday is not in love. The rest of their relationship writes itself.
