Summary
After eight years, David Miller moves back to Forks after losing his family in a landslide. He's blessed to have the Clearwaters help him settle down, though he's old enough to live alone by now. It doesn't take long for the Cullens to catch his eye, especially Emmett. After that, it becomes clear that the Quileute seem to know something about the Cullens, but what?
Or; David moves back to Forks (his childhood home) and quickly falls in love with Emmett, who turns out to be a vampire. The romantic aspect of the relationship flows as smoothly as can be for a human-vampire relationship. The sexual aspect is a more challenging task.

A Breaking Dawn rewrite where Bella realizes her relationship with Edward was solely bloodlust, co-dependency, trauma bonding, low self-esteem, and predator/prey physical and mental hypnosis. She runs at the altar, goes through hell with trauma, learns to love herself, chooses humanity, and chooses Jacob. This is a character-focused and wolfpack-focused fic that leans into the psychological horror potential of Twilight. It is an angsty, agonizing slowburn. The Cullens are not cast in a good light. Dual POV of Bella and Jacob. This is what Breaking Dawn SHOULD HAVE BEEN, to me, anyway.
