"What is it then?"
"Seriously?" he asks, blinking quickly, swallowing again as he sits up. "First time we have sex in decades, I'm a bit… overwhelmed."
Louis feels himself soften, a tender smile warming his features.
"It's just me."

Summary
Hedonist that he is, Lestat has never particularly cared to be held to the constraints of a schedule. Louis may enjoy the routine and predictability of something as prosaic as the requirements of managing a business–one of his many little idiosyncrasies that Lestat simultaneously enjoys and is frequently irritated by–but for him? Non. He can enjoy the artistry of a well-planned ball or the satisfaction of a business deal well-struck, but he’s always enjoyed the freedom of not quite knowing what’s coming next. In a long, long life, it’s far too easy to fall into a rut and find oneself constrained to it for decades before noticing.
Even with his taste for surprise, however, Louis holding out a tiny, sooty, sniffling child is a shock he is not best pleased by.
He flicks his eyes up from the big-eyed, dripping moppet, raising a brow and feeling his lip curl slightly in distaste. The child reeks of smoke and fear and God only knows what else.
“Put it back,” he says flatly.
(AU based on the idea of Louis finding Claudia at the age of five like in the book but raising her until she's old enough to be changed) (marked complete because each chapter can stand alone but will be updated)

Summary
It keeps happening. He notices morning after morning. A missing piece here, a fallen piece there. In the mirror, his eyes are red and watering.
Usually, when he's upset like this, he would take a piece of hair to chew on, or rip a piece from his scalp, but he's too scared to do either anymore.
"Louis, darling," he sniffles and reenters their bedroom. "I think my hair is falling out."

Summary
“They’re just visiting,” he said, sharper than intended. “It’s not a big deal.”
Anthony was quiet for a second.
“I just mean after what you told me–”
“My dad’s not gonna beat me to death in the living room, Anthony.”
Anthony blinked hard. “Jesus, Coy, that’s not what I meant.”
-
or: Coy is trying to heal from the damage his parents left in him, and Anthony keeps trying to help in the only way he knows how.
