Set right after the events of E6.
Pomni is desperate to leave the circus. Jax is terrified of what might happen if he ever does.
Something deeper may be wrong with the circus itself. As its inhabitants are pushed ever closer to the edge of abstraction, old scars begin to resurface—especially the ones Jax refuses to talk about, and the ones Pomni insists she doesn’t have. Sometimes it almost feels like the circus wants them to break.
Thrown together in Caine’s increasingly dangerous adventures, Pomni and Jax form an uneasy bond built on terrible coping mechanisms, mutual frustration, and a connection neither of them quite understands. Day to day life in the circus can be chaotic at best, you never know what to expect. One day you're working at spudsy's and the next you're being hunted for sport. Somehow the adventures became the least crazy part of it all to her, there is a certain rabbit that will not leave her alone, and not in the way he bothers the others.
What borders with an attempt of being nonchalant turned to obsession Jax needs to learn to deal with these things he has never felt before.
What happens when a boy that never learned how to express his emotions falls for a girl that won't take his crap? When two stubborn people meet one needs to learn to bend.
Will feelings be reciprocated? Is this a romance story? Is there an underlying storyline? Who knows! Certainty not me.

Summary
Breakfast is weird the next morning. Jax is quieter than usual, the table falling into a soft lull of conversation, while he sat and poked at his pancakes. If you could even call them that.
Ragatha laughs next to him, but the sound is distant. He can feel the thoughts in his head weighing him down. This is so stupid.Pomni hasn’t bothered to show, not that he cares. He doesn’t. But his foot taps at the floor with unease, anxiousness spreading from his chest to the rest of his body. His chair scrapes the floor, the loud noise pausing the conversation as Jax leaves the table without a word.
