She sends him one of those ‘seriously, you gotta ask’ looks before she elaborates. “Well, who else if not that bird would get you to a point where you'd ask questions like that?”
“I guess you win this one. And he didn't do anything really. Well- aside from what he always does.”
“You mean: exist?”
“Yes. That.”
She chuckles. “Ok Boss, now tell me what is really going on between the two of you.”
Enji sighs. So this is it. The moment where he'll let someone else in on his secret.

Grimmow leans forward to look at the headline and instantly needs to suppress a cringe.
Termination of the contract, it says.
So, that’s what it’s about. Honestly, he should have guessed.
“Your personal assistant left it here this morning.” Kisuke informs, only confirming what he has already figured out on his own. “Don’t you have anything to say to that?”
“What do you want me to say? That I’m sorry?” He snaps, his nose wrinkling with ire. “I’m not! It’s not my fault they can’t handle their own fucking responsibilities!”
“Tell me, Grimmjow. How many assistants you already had?”
“I dunno,” he shrugs, but gives it a try and digs through the memories. “Like… seven, maybe?”
“Fourteen. Not even a single one made it past the three-month mark.”Or
