Summary
The humans threw Grace away. Grace, who worked so hard to save them, who came back for Rocky when he realized the taomoeba would eat through Rocky's ship. Grace, who gave up his chance to go home to save Erid too.
And then Rocky finds out exactly how Grace ended up in space.
They're not giving him back now. Grace will always have a place on Erid where he's beloved and cherished the way he should be, even if it takes Grace a while to believe he's worth that. Rocky may or may not have plans to fix up the Hail Mary for the trip back anyways- there were a few things they wanted to say directly to Stratt's face.

His arm twists painfully behind him as he’s dragged along towards the large box, which now sits open before him. He recognizes distantly that it’s made of the soundproofing material Eridians use to make private rooms. An Eridian wouldn’t be able to see the inside.
He realizes it's just the right size for him.

The Eridians have done their best to treat Ryland Grace well since he saved their planet. At least, most of them. A few years after his arrival, he is abducted by a group more interested in his biology than his wellbeing. Rocky and the others scramble to find him, before it's too late.

Summary
Grace is old, frail and dying, but Eridian scientists have developed a way to transfer his consciousness into an Eridian body to give him hundreds of years of new life. Grace needs to come to terms with his changing identity and way of life. Its scary and weird, but at least he has his best friend by his side <3
We gotta get through a bit of angstiness before we can be sillay but I will get there!!! Gotta earn the silly. Its like a reward.

Summary
Rocky has opted to stay on the Hail Mary for now. Someone has to watch Grace sleep, after all, and he doesn’t trust that duty to anyone else. Grace has been unwell for many days, and Rocky isn’t about to let anything happen to him, not now that they’ve made it to Erid and safety.
(Grace's worsening illness starts reminding Rocky too much of the past.)
