Summary
The point is, Agatha Harkness hated Rio Vidal. And they would never be partners again. Period.
Which made it all the more infuriating that she was currently standing in Chief Jones’ office with Rio positioned irritatingly close to her side. He sat behind his ridiculously large mahogany desk, trying very hard to look authoritative. The smoothie stain on his shirt didn’t help with his endeavor.
“Can you tell us why you had to call both of us in?” Agatha asked. The disdain came through easily. Good.
“Hibernation’s over,” the chief said, reaching for two manila folders and sliding them across the wood. “I have a case for you. Both of you.”
Agatha flipped one open, skimmed the briefly and immediately shut the folder. She tossed it back onto the desk, papers scattered out, spilling across the surface.
“No,” she said flatly.

Summary
When Agatha uproots her life for a chance to save her chronically ill son, she finds herself in a new city, at a new hospital, under the care of a doctor she’s never met, but feels a strange sense of connection to.
Dr. Rio Vidal is brilliant, enigmatic, and deeply committed to her work. As Nicky begins treatment under her care, both women are forced to confront pasts they’ve tried to outrun, truths that don’t fit inside charts, and an undeniable pull that threatens to unravel everything they once thought they knew.
Some lines shouldn’t be crossed but some people make you want to risk everything.

Summary
“Lilia, sorry to disturb you on this fine Saturday morning, I need to get into your backyard to grab my fuckass traitor of a bunny. I’ll just be a minute–”
When the door fully swung open, Agatha paused. The woman standing in the doorway wasn’t Lilia.
“I should start opening my door to salesmen more often if this is how they dress now. Though I have to say, that’s the weirdest sales pitch I’ve heard in a long time.”
OR: Agatha's bunny keeps escaping to her neighbor Lilia's yard. Rio, who is housesitting for Lilia, enjoys her new furry companion. Agatha, on the other hand, hates her new neighbor with a fiery passion. Until she doesn't.
