It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single woman in search of a fake girlfriend must leave any trace of ineptitude out on the doorstep when walking into a bar to perform such mission. So, even if she’s been out of the dating scene for a while, Caitlyn knows how to put a game face on.
She struts into the Last Drop like she owns the place – head held high, back straight. Her tight black turtleneck hugs her frame, drawing attention to her long neck, and her high waisted jeans show off legs for days, and if this were a movie, this would be the moment where the music stops and all heads turn in her direction (it doesn’t happen obviously, this is real life).
Instead, she walks with purpose for about five seconds before someone bumps into her clumsily, muttering something under their breath as they keep moving, entirely unaware of her.
"Where do I even start?"or, the one where Caitlyn, a successful, career-driven lawyer, lies to her apprehensive mother about having a girlfriend, and now desperately needs to find one before making a fool of herself at Christmas dinner.
