When Tom feels off at the GT Live workplace, what seems to be an off day develops into him having to dig into the part of his past he'd like to forget. And when he thought that the mystery and secrets were cut and dry, well- he should've known better.
Matt's been given a warning and a gift, and this would be much easier to explain if he knew what the heck is going on. All he does know is that he needs to find out how to get out of [REDACTED]... back to when and where things made *sense*.
[now listen, looking back on the first chapter there are a lot of continuity errors regarding real-life circumstances and this story. Tom's never met Team Theory before, he lives far away, so on and so forth. But for the sake of my sanity and regret-filled 2 am posting, I will try to amend my mistakes and make this story as smooth as possible without being too crazy, deal?]

Steve pretends not to hear it. He’s exhausted from staying up all night driving around fruitlessly trying to track Hopper. His head is pounding, his legs feel like they are filled with concrete and his stomach has been knotted for hours. They’ve only got a few hours before Erica shows up to the with her sleepy pie. All be wants to do is have a nap on the SQWK couch, not get berated yet again.
Jonathan Byers, whoever, has never given him a single break. Today is no exception.
