She started school, became friends with the party, and finally got to practice her powers without the danger of punishment if she failed to complete a task. Dad, Henry, had gotten a job at RadioShack, moved them into a nice house on Cherry Lane, and had gotten a pet spider named Dee.
Everything was perfect until November 6, 1983.

Steve spoke up for the first time, side-eyeing Mike as the younger boy picked on the skin around his fingernails, a bad habit he had adopted since the disappearance of his sister, "Stop it both of you, Robin's right about the risks this suggestion carries," he added more as Dustin's jaw dropped, "...But, it's the best idea we've had yet, and I propose that we vote on it. Anyone who thinks this is a good idea?" His own hand rose as he finished his sentence, as did Nancy's, Will's, Jonathan's, Dustin's, Lucas's and Erica's. Only Robin and Mike didn't raise their hands.
Steve's eyebrows shot up, surprised so many agreed with him. Usually, he was the only one.
Robin sighed, an exasperated sound coming out of her mouth. She turned to look at Dustin, his hand still up in the air like a quiet rebellion against Robin's protest, and then at Steve, her eyes saying I didn't think you had it in you to betray me like this. She rolled her eyes as she looked in front of her where the rest of The Party sat, splayed across the couch and floor.

WATID is a fanfiction about the character of Vance Hopper, from the movie 'The Black Phone'. This is a work based on my little knowledge of Stranger Things from reading other AO3 and Wattpad fanfics. Not all data is valid. This is my interpretation of what would have likely happened if Vance Hopper and the other 'Ghost Boys' survived the Gillsberg Grabber's horrible basement, and happened to be taken in by his uncle, 'Cheif' Jim Hopper from the fandom of Stranger Things. A reassurance that yes, she could speak . Speech was no longer confined to simple words or the shaking of her head. She liked it.
Her eyes flicked to the display clock once more. She'd been checking it every other moment, watching the numbers tick by rhythmically. "Seven three two."
The corners of her mouth dipped further in frustration. Hopper had promised he'd be back earlier. Liar. *Seven three two* was much past *five one five*.
