Summary
Unexpectedly, San ends up drunk (which is weird because he never drinks too much when they party). The rest of their friends are scattered, ruined or going back home. Wooyoung looks at him as if they haven't seen each other for months.
"Are you going to tell me what's wrong, or do I have to keep playing guessing games?" San's unsteady expression doesn't help to calm his nerves. "I'll be pissed off if you keep quiet. In the last seven years you've held my hair so I wouldn't throw in it more times than I can remember. Not to mention that I always hear you fart through the phone. So whatever it is, spit it out. What the fuck is going on, San-ah?"
He sees the other smile bitterly. Wooyoung takes San's drink away before he can empty it.
"I'm getting married in two weeks."

Summary
Wooyoung is losing his mind. At least that's what his family thinks.
He had his whole life ahead of him, a career his parents would be proud of him for. But he's grown lethargic, taken to sleeping his days away, his body shutting down anytime he tried to do the things he was supposed to do. Despite nothing being apparently physically wrong with him, he felt trapped in a body fighting against him.
So they send him away to the seaside for his wellbeing.

Summary
“Why would this happen?”
How no longer matters. It likely wouldn’t make sense, anyway, even if someone did explain. How is pointless. It’s happened, and he’s stuck in this world, this timeline, and there’s nothing he can do about it. San wants to know Why.
As the sun begins to set, the sky explodes into a watercolor painting with the contrast turned all the way up. Vermilion bleeds into magenta and at least three different shades of orange. The clouds burst, shadowed against the colors with sharp edges. San has never seen anything like it.
“I can only think of one reason,” he says quietly, throat sore and voice raw. His lips are dry as he blows out a heavy breath. “What if it’s a second chance?”

Summary
San's last rut cycle four months ago had ended with Wooyoung in the hospital- Completely precautionary because he'd fallen off the bed while pregnant, but if San was himself, he'd never have let that happen. He also had a few mysterious bruises on his hips and inner thighs that Wooyoung swore weren't from him, but there was nobody else that could have given them to him. The doctors lectured San. He'd never been more embarrassed, or ashamed.
So, if he had to take his colleagues advice and install emergency chains and get a safety muzzle, he would. He'd do whatever he needed to do to keep Wooyoung safe, this time. The last time, probably. They were expecting twins, and Wooyoung had had a very strict two child rule, from the very start. 'The kids can't outnumber the parents, San.' is what he'd say.
So at least after this, he wouldn't need to go through this hell again.
