Summary
I admit, this was inspired by the song "Crash and Burn" by Savage Garden. The lyrics in particular that struck me were the first lines of "When you feel all alone/And the world has turned its back on you," and the end of the chorus, "If you need to crash/Then crash and burn/You're not alone." I'll leave it to you to figure out where these musical tidbits led me. Thank you to the many K/S writers who paved the way before me, and very extra-special thanks go to my ever-patient beta, darksagegrl0, who was truly a godsend.
