Summary
Johnny woke up sweating through his undershirt.
The sounds around him of his tent mates getting up for the day made his head pound. It was almost as if his hearing felt heightened. Everything was so loud. Even the hushed conversation from across the tent felt as though it was right beside him.
He could tell his companions were getting ready for the day. There was rustling of fabric as clothing was pulled on over undershirts. Groans of men getting up off their cots and stretching sleep away from their muscles. -

Though today was different. The man David's eye kept catching on was not being disruptive. If anything, it was the opposite. It seemed as though none of the information he was saying was soaking in with the man. He wasn't even pretending to pay attention to the debrief, instead he was looking off to outside of the canopy they had been using.
"Fraser, what is it?" David finally addressed him.
"It's nothing, sir." Bill averted his gaze to the ground, nose twitching.
"Ought to be something or you'd be bitchin’ at me." David leveled him with a knowing look.
“Nothing. Sir.” Bill reiterated.
