“This must be a veritable wonderland for our guest, Stan! I’m a modern Walt Disney, and this is my Cinderella’s Castle!” Xeno throws his arms open and spins on his heel, tails of his coat flying like a princess’s dress, the tips of his gloves sparkling under the stale light. Stan didn’t seem to be thrown off by the display, leaning heavily on his arm while his hip balanced at the sink’s edge and a smirk playing at his lips.
“What does that make me, Mickey?”
“Of course not.” Xeno’s stance slackens, one hand gesturing vaguely towards Gen, who is trying very hard to seem as interesting as a stain on the wall. “Mister Gen is our poor Snow White who needs a prince to wake him from his slumber. Can you do it, Stan?"
"I can."

Summary
Phenotypes like Alpha, Beta and Omega haven't existed in Japan since pre-Meiji times, and in modern day is simply a fun fact about primitive human biology. When Asagiri Gen reawakens thousands of years in the future, neither he nor anyone else is prepared for a certain side effect from the petrification of humanity.
Something in the air makes it effortless to trust Tsukasa, and unconsciously draws him to an agitated Hyoga. Ukyo has his own suspicions as to why everyone is behaving so unusually, but is hesitant to voice any concrete concerns. Even as an entertainer, Gen has always considered himself impervious to hormonal lunacy, which leaves him utterly defenseless when he rides his first heat within a fledgling society of equally off guard Alphas.

After reawakening in the Stone World, the modern timers at the Empire of Might were caught off guard by the restoration of everyone's second sex, and Gen is one of the unlucky few who found himself "reborn" as an Omega. In a desperate bid to find some time alone and get away from the Alpha nonsense going on at Roppongi Hills, Gen volunteered to start his journey to find this so-called Senku while still in the middle of his heat.
If he does find any settlements with Alpha types, he expects to be treated as poorly as he has been in the Empire of Might. The village of primitives manages to surprise him.

Summary

After emerging from the stone, Gen and everyone else learns that their phenotypes have mysteriously returned, and Gen is caught completely off guard by his body's changes and what that means for how the rest of the world treats him.

Summary
Ukyo’s mouth goes dry. “Sai?” he says after a moment. “You told me your last name was Mohanty!”
Ukyo looks at Ryusui, then back at Sai. Ryusui’s not smiling anymore. His forehead is creased, and there’s a sudden tension around his mouth. His arms are crossed over his chest, his posture no longer loose and relaxed after their reunion. Whatever warmth had been there a moment ago has been replaced by something guarded.
“Do you two know each other?” Ryusui asks. His tone is much less warm than it was just minutes ago, when he was hugging Ukyo close.
Sai is staring at him now, his expression slowly changing from mild confusion to recognition. His eyes widen, and for the first time since Ukyo spotted him, he looks just as thrown as Ukyo feels. “Oh,” Sai says.
Ukyo’s stomach twists.
“Oh,” Sai repeats, much more quietly, but Ukyo’s sharp ears can pick it up like they’re standing right next to each other. “Hi, Ukyo. Didn’t think I’d see you here.”

Sai and Ukyo slept with each other before the petrification and before Sai had left for India. This becomes relevant when they meet up again in Australia, after Ukyo's gone and fallen in love with Ryusui.
