Davis could feel it. An aura of something strange. An electricity that made the air crackle, a presence. The trees were arranged too perfectly. The grass seemed too uniform to be real. The sky looked just slightly off, tinged with a shade of pink that should only appear during the evening.
Being in the digital world had a base level of weirdness, but here… here it was like it was amplified. Everything felt unstable. And weirdly enticing. -
