Summary
Brothers Steve and Dustin Byers move with their mother, Joyce, to Santa Carla, California, to live with her eccentric friend, Murray. While Dustin makes friends with a group of strange local comic book store kids, Steve finds himself falling for a certain mysterious metalhead. Together, they stand against Billy, the leader of a gang of vampires who are hellbent on taking Steve for their own. Can he keep his family safe while trying to keep himself human?
Any chapters with adult or violent content will be prefaced with a warning, but there will be fairly consistent drug and alcohol use, and I cannot stress enough that Steve is eighteen both canonically and in this work. This is my first long fic, and if I write anything genuinely upsetting or problematic, I promise it is not on purpose, please just let me know and I will do whatever needs to be done to make this a safe place.

“Miss me?” Dabi growled again, his eyes reflecting the candles’ lights. The red hue sunk deep in his pupils, and when he spoke, sharp teeth just barely poked past his lips. Keigo’s eyes slowly landed on the hand on his left, and he saw that it was now blackened with soot and ash, claws digging into the wood.
“You’re a demon,” Keigo hissed with fear.
Dabi seemed pleased to hear it. “Why, thank you,” he coaxed, raising his knees to the seat. He knelt over the priest, looking down at him with curiosity and satisfaction. “You don’t look afraid.”
“I do not fear what repulses God,” he said with such conviction that Dabi seemed to falter, just for a moment.
“Do I repulse you?” the demon whispered, knowing the answer. Keigo did, too, so he asked his own question.
“What do you want?”

Slightly moving his hand to the left, one of the tentacles began to snake their way up Kravitz’s leg. The reaper jumped, looking down to see what had touched him.
“Are we interrupting you?” Lucricia asked, and all eyes were on Kravitz. Taako joined them, a shit-eating grin on his face. The reaper stared at him in complete shock, with an expression that said “What the fuck are you thinking?”
“No, no, I’m sorry. I’m fine, please continue.”
Both Lucrecia and Taako obliged.
