Percy nods, holding out a hand for her. Annabeth rolls onto her stomach to rise on her knees.
“C’mere, Wise Girl.”
His smile is so fond, his eyes so hungry-dark. He is like a different creature, a teenage creature that he has kept hidden from her until she earned her place among his ranks by running through camp barefoot past curfew on a hotblooded whim like all the teenaged creatures before her.

Two girls who sincerely love each other, except they both have a different form at night that turns one of them into something composed out of negativity, both changing by the hands of an entity. These forms don’t stop one of them from trying to show her love, even if she isn’t supposed to feel love in her different form. There will be a lot for them to learn, just through a series of events.

Coming back home should've been Percy's dream come true, after all it meant he'd lived through his second war and he was finally getting a chance to live a normal life, right? Oh, how he wished it were that easy. There's a part that's never told about heroes and legends, it's the part that's easiest to hide because everyone so desperately wants to avoid and forget, and Percy knows just why. It's the part that no one will talk about in broad daylight, but they'll whisper around in dark corners and conversations on the phone. It's the part that completely takes over when it's 4:00 am, and you cant's sleep. It's the part that makes you wish there'd been a different ending to the same story. That's the part that Percy hadn't quite paid attention to when he'd decided to come back home.
