Nyx Ulric was displeased.
The upcoming weekend would have been off-duty and had been planned for months between him, Crowe, and Libertus, the three of them intending to have some good old quality-friend-time in the wilds, complete with camping, hunting, fishing, and a fireplace. He had been looking forward to it for the better part of half a year.
But instead, the commander had canceled his leave right this morning, one day before departure, to fill in an additional guard spot around the citadel. Not only did Libertus and Crowe get to have their adventure vacation (Nyx had insisted they go and take Pelna with them), but also was Nyx to 'await further instructions', whatever that meant. Most likely, more work.

“Wesker?” He whispered, voice hoarse and rough as though his throat was dry with dust.
That heat, the weight of his body, Wesker let his arms slip around the reanimation. Chris leaned in, face pressed into the crux of Wesker’s neck and shoulder, shaking and still taking deep shuddering breaths.
His right hand slid up Chris’ spine, and felt the careful sewn slit that would leave a beautiful white scar upon the back of Christopher’s skull, and a deviant smile of sincere pleasure overcame him before he might help himself.
“Welcome home, Christopher.”

Albert Wesker resurrects his old nemesis for the final, true vengeance that had driven him mad since Redfield's untimely death in 2009. But the Chris who returns to him is not the same one he killed five years ago - and instead a frightening new culmination of emotions and shadows are brought to the surface of the murky disposition of his soul.

Gladio nods, “It seems pretty cool,” he admits, “Plus they've got the cutest blond I’ve ever seen wandering around.”
Ignis smirks, “You don’t say?”Alternatively: Gladio gets a rad new tattoo and a super cute definitely-not-a-boyfriend. What would he want a boyfriend for? That doesn't really fit in with that inevitable life path the world has laid out for him.
