Summary
After the final episode of the Sonic Boom cartoon aired, Bygone Island had become... well, to put it bluntly, boring. The peace and quiet was nice for a while, sure, but certain residents (namely a certain Sonic the Hedgehog) had become restless. Perhaps a powerful Ancient device ending up in the worst of hands would be enough to change that.

Men cowered behind the corpses of their comrades, attempting to keep their trembling hands still as they aimed their weapons at the attacking creatures. Rouge let out a gasp.
