Summary
Rogue SecUnit maintenance is untread territory. It is much easier to keep a SecUnit functional when it has access to the infrastructure it was built to use. Without access, you must provide your own infrastructure to it.
“You didn't have to do that. I didn't ask for an update,” it grouses.
You're uncertain what it will take for your SecUnit to realize its need for this infrastructure.
In which ART is just trying to take care of Murderbot, and Murderbot is just trying not to overreact (read: panic, have a flashback, dissociate). And they get mad at each other instead of talking about it. That’s the whole fic.

“i dont want to be a pet bot.”
I think I fucked up my memory rebuild somehow. If I was smart, I would have told someone. A soft reset might have prevented this, or maybe a system rollback, or something. But I wasn't feeling very smart at that moment. I was just scared.
“We know, SecUnit. That won't happen.”
Five times Murderbot saw Miki again, and one time it didn't.

Summary
Based on the tumblr post by sleepdeprivationitself:
Toph goes to the Jasmine Dragon in Ba Sing Se and meets Zuko as Lee, knows he's lying about his name, but just assumes that he's trans but hasn't come out yet
She keeps dropping hints that she's an ally and not a snitch
———
In which Toph figures out that Zuko is trans before anyone else. Including Zuko.

Summary
“Your lungs have collapsed. You can barely breathe on your own. Aang’s been keeping you alive with airbending.”
Oh. That explains a lot. Zuko can’t do anything but choke in response.
Thankfully, the Water Tribe boy isn’t looking for a response. “Not even four hours ago, Katara was the only thing keeping you from bleeding out on the pier. You’re probably just minutes away from being back where you were then.” He accentuates his point by gently applying more pressure to Zuko’s injury. Fucking ow. “You need them. If you want to stay alive, you don’t try anything. Okay?”
Shit.
. . .
When his ship explodes, Zuko isn't so lucky to get away unscathed. No amount of firebending can protect him from the solid steel the explosion launches everywhere. His ship is lodged in his chest, and he can't breathe. He must rely on the Avatar to do it for him.

Spider-Man is severely injured, and New York has it all on camera.
///
During what should have been a routine fight, Spidey gets his leg sliced off. Very not routine anymore. The digital age is fast; the news hits the internet within seconds, and Spidey vanishes almost as quickly. New York is left wondering where their hero went, and if he's ever coming back.
Meanwhile, Oscorp seems insistent on being as insensitive as possible to the situation, as coorperations are ought to do. Oh, and they go steal Spidey's severed limb and make a Spider-Rat without permission.
This story follows an initially media-based narrative, using a rag-tag team of internet Spidey fans as proxies to explore the reactions of New Yorkers to their hero's injury and disappearance. They're just (un)lucky enough to figure out where Spidey is hiding, and witness first hand how he's (not) coping.

Positive Representation, Complex Emotions, and a Fictional but Semi-Heroic SecUnit in Media by BlatantBookworm

Summary
I don’t normally pay that much attention to the credits. In general, I tend to care more about the fictional characters than the real humans playing them, but this had caught my attention.
I mean, it wasn't the first serial that ever put in a SecUnit as a villain instead of a prop. RihaniLane Street had actually made their SecUnit villain sympathetic before it tried to kill everyone. And obviously this fictional SecUnit was going to be a villain, too, because they always were, but that scene was —
The credits said ‘Made and Produced in GoodNightLander Independent.’
Oh.-
Or, Murderbot has feelings about finding positive representation.
Mostly positive.
Even when humans try, they get SecUnits wrong in media.
(Not the murder, the murders were justified, but the writers made the fictional SecUnit like cubicles)
(It’s still pretty positive.)Series

Three learns something about 1.0 that might explain a lot. Or it might not explain anything at all. Three definitely learns something about itself, and it has to decide what to do with this information.

Summary
You can’t be this stupid, ART said, which was insulting but also relieving, because it never talked to me that way during the trauma treatment. Maybe this wouldn’t turn into a BARF after all. Turn off your governor module, you idiot. It’s giving you brain worms.
