An original Warhammer 40000 series focused on the Inquisition, seen through the eyes of several of its members. It follows the evolution of Katarina Morvani from newly-awakened psyker haunted by her past mistakes to Inquisitorial acolyte, and explores her relationship with her mother-turned-mentor and the other members of the retinue as they face some of the worst horrors the galaxy has to throw at them. Sometimes, human nature is the greatest foe of all...
It is a collection of character studies more than a fast-paced action story, although you can expect the usual trappings of a WH40K inquisition-centric story too.

Summary
She smiled too, and when she did, it was as if the years had fallen away, and a different Andreja shone through: a woman who had been happy once, before the loss and betrayals had taken their toll. Then the smile cracked, shattered into a million pieces. Sadness welled in her eyes, deep enough to drown in. She turned away, her shoulders sagging under its weight.
Andreja and Dalia discuss their future. They may share the same set of beliefs, but Andreja fears that in the eyes of the Great Serpent, that will not be enough to ensure an eternity together in his embrace. Dalia, whose faith is no less strong than her lover's, believes the Serpent will reward her regardless of her origins.
Did you romance Andreja after taking the [Serpent's Embrace] perk, only for her to ignore it and call you a non-believer? Me too. So I set out to fix it, without completely changing the original dialogue.

Summary
Adjusting to life as a mind flayer is difficult, especially when Moss feels emotions with their entire body, and the thoughts of strangers keep physically bumping into them. The mixed opinions of the public - and of their companions - certainly aren't helping, either. But the battle is won, and at least the Emperor is here to mentor them as they help him rebuild the city.
Maybe he'll even hold their hand.A post-game fix-it story about learning to be illithid, but also rebuilding, reconnecting, and rediscovery. Everyone deserves to be happy, the Emperor most of all. Grab a page of acrostics, a bowl of soup, and maybe a toothbrush for the nauseatingly teeth-rotting fluff of this absolute character worship novel I've written for you.
