“Forget it, Marc,” Khonshu hissed, and Marc could feel him more now than usual.
The spirit had always been insistent that Steven was a burden. That if he ever fronted, that it’d be better just to let him suck it up and plod along until Marc was conscious again, but that wasn’t how this worked.
Forget it when Khonshu meant forget him.
