Grian is dead, Mumbo watched it happen. Something's odd about his death, though; an arrow in his side, ripped elytra, and a general sense of mystery.
Mumbo makes it his mission to investigate how and why Grian died, and punish the person that killed him. He can't live with himself if he doesn't.
All of his investigating, smoking, investigating, and drinking brought him to one suspect. One culprit. This person did it, and he's determined to prove it. One unlikely suspect tips the scales of the investigation.

Meet Grian, a twenty four year old café owner who seems like a normal person to literally everyone. Since his café is one of the biggest hot spots in the entire city he meets people every day, not just university students but famous people and sometimes wanted criminals. And when they talk just loud enough for him to hear he can’t help but listen in and write down the important things. Might be useful you know?
But Grian can’t be normal can he? Even though he wants to live a normal life it just gets harder because of his “special” diet. If you ever saw what goes on in his basement then you’d instantly become nauseous due to the blood stained floor and body parts hung up on the ceiling.

Summary
The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”
