V2 dies in hell, blood splattered across sand-like gold with the majority of it making a mess on the platform they land on. V2 dies without ever completing their purpose. They have never had a chance to complete a task given to them from a human. V2 has never seen a person, only in pictures depicting them. Only as corpses. V2 dies, knowing from the start they were damned to a life that strayed far from their purpose.
V2 awakens in sand on Erid.

Beings like Regect doesn't really do well with hunger.
After all, hunger is pretty much the root of the problem for like half of the entities Regect know. There's a yellow ball AI somewhere that had just lost his friend because he had succumbed to hunger. Regect's own cousin had almost lose control of himself for the starvation had been too much for him. There's probably more examples out there, but Regect won't bother with it.
All entities experience cravings and hunger. If they do not feel hungry from the lack of food, then they will be hungry for power, knowledge, status, devotion, etc. No entities are spared from the feeling of hunger.
Regect is no different.

“Blip-C detected.” Mary repeated.

Or Eva Stratt decided to join the Hail Mary Crew, but upon waking up she has no recollection of who she is or where she is. And the only other survivor seems to be in the same predicament.
