Summary
"Merpeople aren't real," Jisung blurts out, his statement contradicted before it's even out of his mouth as he stares at the shimmering blue tail attached to the man in his pool.
"Oh, sorry. Let me go inform my entire society that we don't exist," the man - the merman - snarks, hissing as he tugs on the net stuck under his scales.
Jisung has a lot of questions, some of them scientific and most of them stupid, but the stupidest one of all is somehow the one his brain lets slip past his lips. "How do you piss?"
(OR: Minho comes to shore determined to prove that love isn't real. Jisung thinks he can prove him wrong in order to get his wish of getting out of his hometown. Things do not go as planned for either of them.)

Summary
At some point during his story Han had leaned onto his elbows in front of him to rest his chin in his hands, the lamplight beside them illuminating dark irises flecked with slivers of green. Minho blinks and suddenly the green was gone.
“And did it ever sing to you?” Han smiles.
“What?”
“The music box.” The other chuckles with a tilt of his head. Was Han always this pretty? He had never been this close. “I’m a fan of lullabies.”
(OR **Han comes once a month to Minho's shop in the port city of Haewol with pockets of gold and eyes full of secrets only to leave him with one less trinket and a heart wishing he would stay.)

Summary
Seungmin meets Changbin at 2:37 in the morning in a convenience store, holding banana milk and pretending very hard not to recognize the famous rapper having a crisis in front of the cough drops.
He knows exactly who Changbin is. He knows the music, the stages, the interviews, the voice that has lived in his headphones for years. But instead of asking for a picture, Seungmin judges his groceries, tells him to buy porridge, and somehow becomes the one person Changbin wants to see again.
What starts as a midnight snack run turns into late-night texts, stolen dinners between schedules, ridiculous first dates, leaked photos, soft launches, wedding vows, and a future neither of them saw coming.
Seungmin was a fan first, but he refuses to turn love into access.
Changbin is famous, but he wants one life that belongs to him.

Summary
in a world where a system tells you who you'll mate with, seungmin fails the trials often. he's awkward, unsure how to behave around omegas and betas and unsure of what he himself wants. he changes his answers often and he knows the system knows.
