“Okay don’t laugh.” He gave Courfeyrac a stern look. He was met with a look claiming ‘I would never’. They both knew it was a lie. “But yes. I am.”
“Can I just ask…. And this is not a criticism, because lord knows we need more Victorian-esque gay letter exchanging in the world. But have you ever heard of phones?”
There’s only so much you can do when your boyfriend-but-not-really suddenly announces out that he’s going abroad for a year. Writing him a letter is, on all accounts, a pretty good start.

“What the fuck is that?” Kurogane asked when Fai came within earshot. Looking up from the thing in his arms, Fai grinned. Carefully, he lifted it up.
“A kitten!”
Kurogane blinked. The kitten blinked back, yawning. Blue eyes not unlike Fai’s gave him a curious look. It was covered in mud and dirt; under it all, it looked to be white. A tiny pink tongue darted out to lick its nose.
“Fuck no.”

Summary
Grantaire really, really needs more coffee.
Between attempts to help repair Eponine and Cosette's friendship after a rocky first meeting, Courfeyrac and Joly's misguided attempts to bring Combeferre and Marius closer together, an evolving relationship with Enjolras after a chance encounter, and his final art project that he still hasn't really started, Grantaire is in way over his head.
There's movie nights, coffee (not) dates, a truly inflammatory game of Risk, and Grantaire feels like he might lose it under the chaos of it all, but things might just turn out okay. -

Summary
The moment Mr. Keating tells them about the Dead Poets' Society, something hard knots low in Todd's stomach. He's never been good with clubs or societies, with things that require you to formally spend time with others. Sucking the marrow out of life sounds like the sort of thing they've been doing already, even if Mr. Keating is probably referring to something more dramatic (better) than what they've been doing in class. But words dripped from our tongues like honey sounds kind of intimidating, and Gods were created sounds like the kind of thing Todd ought to just avoid entirely.
