Binghe is leading the trail directly inside the water prison. Instead of just using witness testimony to string Shen Qingqiu up and have him punished, Binghe had a dream where he used Meng Mo's teachings to project Shen Qingqiu's memories for all gathered to see. Only then will they witness the truth of it all.

Or I can throw it out of the window.” Wu Suowei moves his hand down Chi Cheng’s chest and across his abdomen, tugging on the ends of Chi Cheng’s black tank top to show the skin underneath. He sways forward, noses brushing in a mimic of their confession from earlier in the night. I’m yours. Chi Cheng’s eyes dart between Wu Suowei’s face and his trailing hand.
