Synopsis
Carlos is secretly a Dresden-style wizard and responsible for maintaining Night Vale's wards. The city is hostile toward his type of wizard, and he's hit with a death curse that ultimately causes him to tune in to every episode of NVCR.
When he accidentally travels back in time, he disguises himself among a group of scientists. Upon meeting Cecil face-to-face for the first time, listeners, he fell in love instantly (he was basically already there).
When the timeline catches up, he balances his secret magic responsibilities, relationship with Cecil, fake but increasingly real science, and investigation into who caused the time travel in the first place.
Canon-compliant(ish) crossover with enough detail that extensive knowledge of either series is not required.
