Eyes fluttering open as he slowly came to, Hizashi lifted his head to meet a glowing red stare. Whatever lingering grogginess he might have felt was banished in a heartbeat as he realized his wrists were bound together over his head by a long white cloth.
He glared at Eraserhead, but the villain only smirked back at him, the glow from his eyes casting eerie shadows on what could otherwise be called a handsome face.
“Now that you’ve caught him, what are you gonna do with him?” Loud Cloud asked.
“I hadn’t thought about it,” Eraser said, tipping his head to the side thoughtfully. “I’m sure we can come up with something fun.”

“...yeah.” Julia’s eyes narrowed. Where was this going? Of course she knew who Charlie Kirk was- he’d started as a meme before turning himself into an alt-right talking head. There was no quantifying the amount of harm he’d encouraged, if not outright done himself. “I may have been raised in America before I was adopted, but that doesn’t mean I agree with him.”
“No, I didn’t think you did.” The dark haired girl rushed to assure her, putting one of her hands on top of Julia’s where it rested on top of the table. “”You’re very sweet. No, he died.”
“What?” Evil people didn’t just die. “How?”
“It looks like he got shot at a speaking event. In Utah? Am I pronouncing that corr- oh.” The poor girl didn’t even have the chance to get the sentence out before Julia half-snatched her phone to get a look at the headlines plastered across the social media site Ige had pulled up.
It was true. He had been shot, in the neck looked like. Of all the people in the world, the guy who’d openly said victims of gun violence were an expected consequence of the second amendment and that was worth it had been fucking shot.

“Where the hell have you been!?” Inko Midoriya’s voice screeched from down the hall. Izuku had just closed the door behind himself; he hadn’t even taken off his shoes yet. “Answer me, child!”
After he turned four, his parents never used his name anymore. He was ‘child’ or ‘boy’, never Izuku. It was but one more thing Izuku didn’t understand. He knew he had to answer when given a direct order, but it was so hard to force his throat to unclench so he could speak.
“I’m… sorry, Okaasan. The teacher requested help cleaning up after school.” He’d learned to lie at a very young age. If he told her he was walking slowly, she’d make him hurt more. It was easier to tell her something he made up in his head, and hope she didn’t try to verify the information he gave her.
Regardless of the lie, Inko walked over and laid a vicious slap across Izuku’s cheek. He barely flinched, keeping his eyes on the ground in between them.
