Summary
Sirius grapples with frightening new feelings while Remus copes with the aftermath of an illicit relationship. The Marauders' golden school days are drawing to a close, and war will make men out of boys.
“This reads a bit grim for a romance,” Sirius muttered, turning a yellowed page.
“I told you, it’s more of a murder mystery than a love story,” Remus said. “Well, murder-by-proxy. Which is as good as the same thing, really. But read to the end, and then we’ll discuss.”
An allegory of love, obsession, courage—and murder.

Summary
Professor Loony Loopy Lupin receives a visit and a tip-off from an unlikely friend.
“Well hello, Miss Lovegood. Come to visit the grindylow again?”
“Oh, no. Not today,” Luna hummed, looking around like she’d never seen his classroom before. “No, I was just wondering…” her voice trailed off as her wide blue eyes found the hinkypunk on the windowsill. Remus waited patiently for her to give it a name or quiz him on one of the impossible creatures her father invented. But then she opened her mouth and asked:
"When is a dog not a dog?”
Remus’s knee jerked so violently it knocked the underside of his desk and sent his teacup toppling to the floor.

Summary
“Moony… you’re not a disease. You’re a boy. And I’m not asking you to bite me. Just to kiss, if you feel the same way I do.”
Given a hundred years, Lily never would have imagined hearing anything so vulnerable coming out of Sirius Black’s mouth. She blushed at the soft words not even directed at her.
“That’s like playing with the barrel of a loaded gun.”

Summary
In which Sirius says goodbye to his career and Remus just wants to make it through his brunch shift.
“Would you like to order a drink, or do you want to wait for your boyfriend to get back?”
Sirius choked on the sip of water he’d just taken. “Oh, no,” he coughed. “God, no. James isn’t—we’re not a couple.”
Glancing up, he caught a glimpse of one of Remus’s eyebrows rising a fraction of an inch before his face slipped back into its impassive server’s mask.
“Got it, no homo,” he said casually, raising his hands in good-humoured surrender. His hazel eyes, however, didn’t look much amused.

Summary
“They like you,” said Sirius as he watched Remus intently over the brim of his glass. An hour ago, the kitchen had been filled with voices, but now it was just him and Remus left, like it had been the previous night before the Weasleys had all arrived at Grimmauld Place. The fire danced on the amber liquid in his glass, illuminating the left side of his face and painting the kitchen in specks of red and gold. He took a sip, slowly, still watching Remus. “They respect you.” He lowered his glass, lips twitching. “Of course they got the completely wrong measure of you.”

Summary
“It’s an honour to be chosen,” his mother had said, her voice so sickly sweet it had made Sirius’ stomach churn. So artificial in its affection, a counterfeit of the love he had always craved from her. “Don’t you see the example you’ll set? The privilege to be remembered this way?”
It doesn't feel like a privilege. Whatever fancy words his mother used to dress this up as, he has been ostracised and left for dead. Worse than left for dead—willingly carted out to be devoured by the beasts that prowl the mountains and the forests.

‘You didn’t escape from Azkaban for any of this,’ Remus reminds him.

Summary
It’s not a relationship. It’s not even dating.
It’s just… helping each other out. A best mates thing. A dormmates-who-share-a-bed-and-a-mutual-desperation sort of thing.Everyone else thinks they’re shagging—and to be fair, they are. Frequently. Enthusiastically.
On every surface of the Gryffindor dormitory, under silencing charms, behind drawn curtains.
But it’s not like that.
Except maybe it is. Because Sirius is possessive. Because Remus only wants him. Because Sirius stops flirting with others, and starts watching Remus like he belongs to him.And maybe they’re not as casual as they pretend to be.
