Ever since he was born, Leo Valdez has been possessed. There's a diablo inside him. There's no other explanation for why he can shoot fire from his fingers, and why he killed his mom when he was eight.
He's been tortured by public education and foster care for damn well long enough to have atoned, though. If he's going to Hell anyway, he might as well try to get something out of his life. So he escapes the juvenile correctional school he's been stuck in for a few months.
