Summary
This is a rewriting of my original story "The Rise", which I discontinued on Wattpad. I wasn't satisfied with how the story went, so I will reuse characters and story elements from that story. If you are interested in reading said work, feel free to check out "Ijaria_" on Wattpad.
Little did Sally know what he got himself into when he accepted to help the Elven royalty. His life took an intrigueing, yet dangerous turn that didn't just affect his and his friends' lives; It affected the fate of the planet itself. A war between rivaling races, family drama in the royal family, desperate cooperation between the Angels in Heaven and the Demons in the Underworld. All meticulously controlled and calculated by a puppeteer, who might as well be more dangerous than the five sleeping Titans. How did Sally contribute to a downward spiral of chaotic events, and how, if even, will they be resolved?

From closer, it’s clear that Minho is about his age. He’s handsome— very much so— in an untouchable sort of way. Straight nose, sharp eyes, a defined cupid’s bow. He looks sculpted rather than born. Jisung might shrink under the weight of his presence if the situation were different.
Knowing that Minho is dying ruins the illusion of perfection.
Jisung answers an ad online reading: "I'm going to die, but there's a lot of things I haven't done yet that I don't want to do alone."

And then he stumbles across a message from one Lee Minho. The name is common enough that it doesn't seem alarming at first, but then he starts swiping through Lee Minho's photos, and… this has to be a catfish. Are people just allowed to use fake pictures like this? Why would renowned model Lee Minho need to be on Grindr? Jisung is pretty sure he can get laid wherever and whenever he wants, probably.
But Jisung is intrigued; he decides he wants to see just how far the alleged Lee Minho will take this ruse. So he replies to Minho's simple "Hey, cutie."
or, Jisung thinks he's being catfished. He's not.

Summary
Jisung would be lying if he said he wasn’t always curious about Minho’s job. On a drunken night many many months ago, he got so curious that he asked Minho to tell him about some of the scenarios they’re asked to act out and Minho proceeded to tell him about a scenario many customers ask for that’s set in a hot spring where one of the guys offers to give the other a massage and it escalates from there.
It doesn’t really escalate. They never do stuff that might cause them indecency charges out in the open in a random café in downtown Seoul. But Jisung’s mind wandered, and his imagination sparked, and his brain was haunted by flashing images of Minho in a hot spring, giving, or receiving a massage, and things escalating, really escalating from there.
He never asked about his job after that.- - -
or: Jisung starts working at the yaoi café where his best friend, Minho, works.

Summary
Jisung makes it his mission to keep his lights up as long as possible. They don’t bother him— in fact, he quite likes them. They add a much needed essence of liveliness to his life.
His neighbor, still unnamed, has been popping up more and more. Every time Jisung goes outside, there’s an evil dragon glaring at him from the window next door. When he walks down the driveway to collect his mail, the evil eyes are watching him with a hawk-like precision.
It’s unnerving to say the least. Jisung has become a prisoner in his own home, a traitor to the patriarchy all over some silly lights.
(or: Jisung loves Christmas, way more than the average person. He keeps his Christmas lights up as long as possible. His new neighbor hates it.)
